According to Rabbeinu Tam, the internal placement of the four parshiyot (Torah passages) in the head Tefillin differs from the order prescribed by Rashi.
To preserve the halachic requirement of kesidran (writing in proper order), the Sofer first writes Kadesh Li and Vehaya Ki Yeviacha, skips the third, writes the fourth (Shema), and only then returns to write the third (Vehaya Im Shamoa) in the previously left blank space.
This unique method demands expertise, precision, and yirat shamayim from the Sofer.
The Tefillin boxes are made of durable, handcrafted thick-hide leather (behema gassa) – ideal for long-term use and halachic strength.
The parchments are written on high-quality klaf, the black straps are dyed on both sides and tied in Sephardic knot style, and everything is packed in cases inside a deluxe fabric pouch.
