Tefillin Mehudarot – Ashkenaz are crafted with elevated halachic standards and attention to detail, in accordance with the customs of Ashkenazic communities who follow the Beit Yosef script.
The boxes are made from thick animal hide (behema gassa), precisely shaped and sewn by hand.
The parchments are written by a certified and experienced Sofer Stam in clear and accurate Ashkenazic Beit Yosef script, and are halachically inspected before assembly.
According to the view of Rashi, upon which these Tefillin are written, this is the halachically binding version of the mitzvah. Tefillin of Rabbeinu Tam are not required by law, but rather a pious custom or additional stringency.
The Tefillin come rolled, tied, and ready to wear, with black leather straps already attached in the traditional Ashkenaz knot.
They are packed in plastic Tefillin cases, placed inside a soft zippered fabric pouch, and enclosed in a white cardboard box.
